Welcome to ApolloPad!

ApolloPad is a web-based text editor. You can write using one computer, then move to a different computer and continue writing seamlessly. All without worrying about moving files around or remembering which version was the most recent one you worked on.

ApolloPad will save as you type, and you will always be able to access previous versions of your work and see what changes you made on which day. You can even get it to back up your work to your Dropbox account if you like.

About The ApolloPad Demo

The ApolloPad demo is a full-featured version of ApolloPad, so you can use it as much as you like to get a feel for how it all works. If you like it, and you want to find your way back to your work later, you will need to set up a login for yourself. To do so, please click on "Manage Account" in the left-hand menu, and then "Profile" (or click the link on the right).

Preferences

We know how important it is to get your writing environment just right. So ApolloPad includes lots of options to tweak, to get it to look and behave just the way you like. You can hide the menu and the corkboard, change the colour scheme and font, and if you're feeling especially brave you can even add your own CSS! Change your preferences in your account (or click the link on the right to get started).

Characters and Assets

With ApolloPad you can create reusable characters and assets, and link them into your stories. This allows you to quickly rename them or find where they have been used. Click on the button in the toolbar above with the picture of a person to add a new character to your story.

Notes and To-dos

You can add notes and to-dos to your work. To add a new note, select some text and click on the button above with the pin icon. Notes can be text, images or even video!

Project Outline

With our outline mode, you can edit and rearrange your chapters to organise your stories.
